3 Ways to Pep Up Your Popcorn (Easy Toppings to Try!)

One of our absolute favorite snacks in the Making Lemonade house is popcorn because it’s easy to make, healthy, and filling. While butter is our usual go-to topping, we’ve been mixing it up lately with several other ways to make it fancy. The hubs and I love spicy popcorn, so the Siriachia popcorn has been a big hit! My son oddly loves salt + vinegar (he’s a picky eater, so it surprised us too) while my sweets loving daughter thinks the white chocolate version is the best. Whether you’re craving something sweet, savory or spicy we have an easy topping recipe for you to try!

3 Easy Popcorn Topping Recipes
White Chocolate and Sprinkles Popcorn
1 package white chocolate chips
¼ cup rainbow sprinkles
4 cups popped popcorn
Directions:
Spread popcorn over a baking sheet.
Melt white chocolate in the microwave by making double broiler. Place the bowl of white chocolate into a larger bowl with a little bit of water at the bottom. Microwave in 20 second increments, stirring in between until the chocolate is melted.
Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn. Using spoons to toss the popcorn while it is still melted. Sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles. Let cool until the chocolate hardens, then enjoy!
Vinegar and Sea Salt Popcorn
2 tbsp. Vinegar (white, malt, or white balsamic)
1 tbsp. Melted butter
1 tsp. Sea salt
4 cups popped popcorn
Place the popcorn in a zip plastic bag. Slowly pour in the melted butter and give it a good shake.
Next slowly pour the vinegar over the popcorn a little at a time, shaking in between. This is prevent the popcorn from getting soggy. Then sprinkle with the sea salt and shake it again.
Pour the popcorn into a bowl and enjoy! This popcorn is best eaten right away.
Spicy Sriracha Popcorn
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tbsp. Sriracha
4 cups popped popcorn
Salt (optional)
Place popcorn in a zip plastic bag. In a small bowl mix together melted butter and Sriracha.
Pour the Sriracha sauce slowly over the popcorn in small amount. Shake the bag of popcorn in between to evenly distribute the sauce.
Finally pour the spicy popcorn into a bowl and enjoy! This popcorn is best eaten right away.
