10 Best Gifts for Guys (That He’ll Actually Use)

Best gifts for guys this year

Let’s face it, personalities vary so much from person to person I’m never going to find the *perfect* gift that will fit *every* guy. However, there’s a reason why most gift guides hit upon certain categories each year; sometimes the cliche is there because it’s true. That being said, a guy can only receive so many Homebrew Beer kits before they throw their hands up and say, “enough!” In order to find the BEST gifts for guys this year, my husband helped build this list so it’s guy tested and approved– we quite literally have most of these things, chosen by my man, and he loves them.  I bet yours will too. 😉

Please note: prices are current as of the date this is published but may change quickly. Also, affiliate links may be included which don’t cost you a penny more but  help support the running of this site.

10 Gifts for Guys

1. Nespresso Espresso Maker and Aeroccino Frother, $195 OR Nespresso Vertuoline Coffee and Espresso Maker with Aeroccino Frother, $161

My husband bought this last year and we use it daily. Multiple times. Like, all morning long and sometimes at night. There’s a few options to choose from, depending on your needs. We currently have the Nespresso Espresso Maker Pixie and Aeroccino Frother. This is a compact unit that makes espresso with the added option of firing up the frother to make lattes, cappuccinos, and other fancy coffee drinks. We really do use it daily, it’s replaced our coffee pot and Keurig!

The other option is the Nespresso Vertuoline, which uses a different type of pod but also makes coffee. Another great choice for the coffee lover in your home.

2. Amoretti Premium Syrup in Pumpkin Pie, $24

This is another thing my husband ordered himself and uses all the time– pumpkin syrup for his coffee! He puts a little in a mug, hits the espresso button, adds the frothed milk, sprinkles with pumpkin pie spice, and in less than a minute has himself a homemade pumpkin spice latte.

3. Leatherman Multi-Tool, price starts at $27

For every guy on your list. Leatherman tools range in price depending on the features and finishes, but who wouldn’t love this one tool with tons of various gadgets! No more searching for can openers, screw drivers, rulers, knives, scissors (and wire cutters, a saw, pliers…) it’s all at your disposal here. My personal pick is the Leatherman Wave, it’s a little pricer than the Wingman version but looks snazzy with that black oxide finish and comes with a few handy extras.

4. Shutran Shave Cream and Shaving Accessories, price varies

When I was in Utah for Young Living’s Beauty School, they unveiled the new Shutran Shave Cream by having a professional barber do a live shave on stage! I noticed he used a shave brush and bowl with the cream, he said it helped exfoliate and lift facial hair for a closer, smoother shave. I had a huge A-HA! moment, and now this highly rated shaving brush, shaving bowl and brush & razor stand are all on my husband’s gift list– along with the amazing smelling Shutran Shave Cream as well! (PS- I’m happy to tell you how to get the wholesale price on that shave cream, just ask!)

5. Withings Activite Smart Watch and Sleep Tracker, $124.99

Here’s another item I can take no credit for discovering. My husband bought this for himself last year and uses it daily. He tried 2 other fitness trackers before finding this one, and it’s by far his favorite!

6. Ear Buds Tangle-Free Cord Case, $9.95

A stocking stuffer idea for the guy who’s always untangling his cords. I’m getting one in my stocking, too. 😉

7. Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker, $20.99

Take music wherever you need it with a portable bluetooth speaker. We have this exact version and love streaming tunes while we work in the yard or cook dinner in the kitchen. It’s especially great for adding a fun vibe to gatherings on the deck, though I’ll admit it’s been in heavy Christmas music rotation lately as the days get shorter. Makes dinner prep so much more fun when you’re streaming music, plus that price can’t be beat!

8. GoPro Hero4 Silver, starts at $317

We saw these by the dozen on our vacation to Turks & Caicos, and WOW are they fun! Especially great for the active guy who surfs, skis, skateboards, or waterslides. 😉 If you get the waterproof housing you can capture activity poolside and in the ocean– including snorkeling, sailing, swimming, boating… pretty much any activity thanks to the myriad of bases, holders and clamps you can get to capture all the fun. It’s tiny, too, so you can tuck it into a pocket.

9. Patagonia Nano Zip Vest, $149

I don’t know why I think puffer vests on guys are hot, but I do, and this Patagonia version keeps him warm and looking mighty fine at the same time. My man loves his because it keeps him warm without being bulky or having restrictive sleeves while he’s working outside.

10. Herschel Duffle Bag, $80

This highly rated mid-priced duffle bag is perfect for weekends away, trips to the gym, and even as a carry-on for airplane travel. It’s stylish without being over the top, so it appeals to a wide range of guys! Great for the man who’s on the go. Fill it with a few pieces of gear from his favorite team and you’ll be the best wife or girlfriend or sister or daughter ever (I originally wrote that sentence a different way but edited because WOAH)!

Normally I’d add something along the lines of ‘There you have it! The best gifts for guys that are going under the tree this year!’ but since we have most of these things already (again, chosen by my husband) I can honestly say, ‘There you have it! The best gifts my guy chose for himself this year!’ I still have a few gifts up my sleeve, but you can’t go wrong with these popular guy tested AND approved favorites.
