There’s many things I miss about living in North Carolina. My friends, the warm sunshine, and living within walking distance of World Market.
That’s right– World Market was literally across the street from me. I could walk there in under 5 minutes. With my meager teacher salary and love of home decor, I was there weekly scouting out new items and picking up a few things to make my apartment reflect my personality. It was also my favorite place to find unique gifts to enable my ever-present love of gift giving. I’m sad I no longer live so close to a store, but thankfully they have items available online to feed my World Market addiction!
Spring is, blessedly, right around the corner. My mind is already thinking about Easter– especially because it’s in March this year. To me, Easter signifies new beginnings and fresh starts. I love to get my home freshened up for entertaining, and also give Easter baskets to the kids and family we’ll be visiting. Easter also means traditions old and new, so here’s a few products I’m crushing on for gift giving and celebrating family traditions:
1. A mossy basket is perfect for holding goodies during Easter or as a pretty home accessory afterwards.
2. This gorgeous pashmina shawl complements Easter outfits and provide warmth for cool spring breezes– for only $9.99!
3. My addiction to honeybees continues with this Beehive Cake Pan. Use it for cakes and it doubles as a great display piece.
4. Jordan Almonds are a big part of my Greek heritage when it comes to celebrating. Aren’t they perfect for Easter, too?
5. A pretty place to hold your eggs, this bright yellow ceramic ‘carton’ creates a place of honor for your decorated and dyed eggs.
6. These sweet bunny juice glasses are something your kids will love to use every year, well into adulthood.
7. Classic looking bunny candles would look great on your Easter table or as a hostess gift everyone will love. Bring them out year after year as a tradition.
8. English style poppers are a holiday tradition, now you can add a “pop” during Easter too!
9. More containers that can double as home decor after the holiday is over; loving these metal and burlap baskets!
I found the perfect thing for my daughter’s Easter basket as well… paint-your-own bunnies. What a fun project this will be, and we can give the finished ones to grandparents {lucky them, wink!}
And because I couldn’t help myself, while I was on the World Market website I picked out a few things to freshen up our home for spring entertaining. As you can see, this board reflects my love of natural elements and neutrals with pops of color.
1. Terrarium 2. Woven Placemats 3. Decorative Silver Keys 4. Whitewashed Storage Shelf 5. Basketweave Floormat 6. Round Natural Basket
7. Wasabi Charlotte Paisley Napkins 8. Green and White Striped Mixing Bowl

My sister lived near a World Market for a year and I still miss it 3 years later! I would go to one in a heartbeat if I could! Thanks for the glimpse of spring this morning!
That mossy basket is amaaaazing. This post makes me itch to go shopping!
I have heard of World Markets but did not know about the web site, going to have to check out their web site. love all your finds!
wish there was one close to us!
oh how i love thee world market! great picks my friend!
I really like the whitewashed storage shelf – so cute! Thanks for sharing.
I love world market and am totally smitten with the basket and napkins! They are such an affordable and stylish resource for home goods! Great picks here Carrie!
I was *just* lamenting about the fact that there are NO World Markets in our area anymore (I’m in Chester County). And yes, we are fortunate to have online shopping but it’s just not the same. I’ve recently been contemplating a road trip just for the sake of shopping there and your pictures are no help in talking me out of it. So I’m blaming you if I have to explain it to my husband- You dont’ mind, right?
I will accept any and all blame, as long as you take me with you on your World Market roadtrip.
Now I really have spring fever! Love all of the sweet Easter goodies, and the wicker and basketweave home items you chose!
