Hey hey friends! It’s been such a beautiful week weather wise that I’m happy I snapped up a few spring-y pieces last week in anticipation of warmer temps ahead (even if I did look funny buying them when it was still chilly outside). It’s important to have a few key winter-to-spring pieces in your closet during this tricky season, so I’ve been sharing a few of my favorites on Instagram.
Hot time-saving tip: Sign up for LikeToKnowIt (takes under a minute, I promise). Then, when you ‘like’ Instagram photos with www.liketk.it links you get an email with all the outfit details straight to your inbox. As a follower of fashion bloggers, I LOVE this so much! No hunting down the piece I want, the link is right there in my email and it doesn’t cost me a penny more than spending 30 minutes trying to find it on my own. So if you’re wondering what the deal is with all those @liketoknow.it tags, that’s what’s up! I’ve bought some of my very favorite outfits this way!
Onward and upward, here’s a few looks I shared on my Instagram this week:
Comfy Casual— listen, it doesn’t take much to elevate some sweats and Uggs! This necklace is no longer being sold online, but I linked several alternatives below. Seriously, a statement necklace can take even the most casual, make-up free look up a notch and these all under $40!
Girls’ Night Out— this was my dinner outfit at Woodloch Resort last week, and I’m smitten with this top. It drapes beautifully in the back, the perfect sassy touch for a classy night out. See how it hangs loose over the belly but accentuates the positive? Plus the color is dreamy and will really pop with white jeans. Excuse the bathroom photos, but I was snapping my own pics here and had to really contort myself to get a shot of the back detail. #awkward
Stripes for the Win— I loved this top so much I bought it in two colorways. It has cut-outs at the shoulder to break up the stripes, and is slightly shorter in the front than back for a flattering fit. This is the Red Pepper color but I also got it in Multi-stripe. Can’t wait to pair it with white jeans for a spring/summer style!
This one didn’t make it to Instagram yet, but it’s another striped top that pairs beautifully with the vest in the next paragraph. March and April can be buggers here in PA, so I didn’t feel guilty getting this long-sleeved tee late in the season at all. Stripes are going to be in style next year too (they’re a tried and true classic).
I finally snagged this vest (ON SALE!) this week and am IN LOVE. I’ll share outfit photos soon, but it’s the perfect transitional piece for spring and it’ll still be great when you pull it out again next fall. Sizing tip: it runs small, so consider going up a size. I usually wear a size small but bought this in a medium. That being said, it IS from the Juniors department so it’s not so much that it runs small as it probably runs on point for Juniors, an age of which I am no longer. 😉
Speaking of fashion, don’t miss out on my honest review of Stitch Fix in Monday’s post. If you’ve been thinking of trying it out, it’s a must-read.
Spring weather and spring fashion. Two of my favorite things. 😉

Ahhhhh, the weekend! Any big plans? I’m heading out to my friend Darlene’s for a Young Living leadership retreat, then hopefully onto the Philadelphia Flower Show on Sunday. The theme is National Parks this year and my kids are stoked. Have a wonderful weekend!
