Many thanks to El Monterey for sponsoring these homemade dip recipes and the Game Day Taquitos giveaway!
Let’s face it– The Big Game is fast approaching, and for some of us, it’s just an excuse to hang out with friends, eat yummy party food, and maybe cheer on a football team or something. Especially this year– since my team didn’t make it to The Big Dance, I’ll be sitting on the sidelines and chowing down on some delicious appetizers while chatting with my friends instead of focusing on the play-by-play.
When it comes to food fit for Game Day, one thing is for sure: I’d so much rather hang out with the guests than toil away over an oven. Which is why I came up with a SUPER easy homemade Ranch Dip recipe that perfectly compliments the various flavors of the Taquitos recently sent by El Monterey for the family to try out– no fuss, just delicious Game Day fingerfoods to enjoy. You can microwave them in under two minutes or pop them in the oven in under ten minutes. Speedy quick!
First up is homemade Ranch Dip. Once you taste it, you’ll never buy another pre-packaged ranch pouch again. Who knew you could get the same flavor but MUCH fresher and without additives with just a few simple ingredients and for pennies on the dollar? Ahem. I did. Here you go. 🙂
Homemade Ranch Dip Recipe
- 1 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried dill
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- pinch of salt
Homemade Creamy Salsa Dip Recipe
- sour cream
Using your favorite type of salsa (here’s mine, a homemade fresh salsa recipe!) mix equal parts salsa and sour cream. If using fresh salsa, you may wish to drain it first to create a thicker dip. Stir to combine. Sprinkle with a pinch of fresh pepper. Enjoy!
The three flavors shown here are Nacho Cheese & Jalapeno Ranch Shell Shockers and the Taco & Cheese Seasoned Battered Taquitos. YUM. I’ll say it loud and proud: these are the BEST Taquitos of the Big Game. Plus, they cook up in just a few minutes. HUGE bonus.
A few of the varieties were spicy, which I loved. One out of two of my kiddos loves spicy food as well and she gobbled them up. Plus that ranch dip is something else. I rarely eat dairy, and I *may* have had an entire spoonful yesterday and almost went in for more. It’s out of this world.
