For years I struggled over what to get my husband for Christmas and he would never give hints or even a straight answer if I asked. But this year I sneakily asked for help compiling our annual gift guide for guys and he was totally up for the challenge with dozens of great ideas; so now I have a gift guide that covers all the guys on my list including my husband. Boom chaka-laka! So without further ado here’s what guys really want for the holidays this year straight from the source himself.
City Map Glassware These rocks glasses etched with famous cities make a stylish gift. This is such a great idea for grads or those who’ve recently moved, made even better if paired with a bottle of favorite bourbon or whiskey.
Beats Wireless Headphones Award-winning Beats sound with Bluetooth wireless listening freedom. The on-ear, cushioned ear cups are adjustable so you can customize your fit for all-day comfort. Anyone who travels frequently or really enjoys music is gonna love these.
Powerbeats Earbuds Same idea, but for guys who are really active… these secure-fit earhooks maximize comfort and stability making them perfect for workouts. Sweat and water resistance provides trusted durability and dual-driver acoustics deliver dynamic sound to power your workout or anytime you’re on the go.
Drink Local Bottle Opener These wall mounted ‘drink local’ openers are fun for the kitchen, bar area, or Man Cave. It’s one decor item we both agree on. Bonus, it has a catch bin at the bottom to hold the bottle caps and eliminate mess.
Echo Dot Who knew this little dot could do so much! It’s a hands-free, voice-controlled device that uses Alexa to play music, control smart home devices, provide information, read the news, set alarms, and more. And when I say ‘and more’, I mean it controls lights, fans, switches, thermostats, garage doors, and sprinklers with compatible connected devices. Plus, now you can order an Uber or Domino’s pizza with a voice command. What’s not to love?
North Face ‘Bones’ Beanie This lined beanie will keep your guy warm without looking like a sidekick from the cast of Vanderpump Rules (all those slouchy beanies and man buns, woah!) Highly rated and looks great, plus it comes in several popular colors.
YETI Roadie Cooler If you live in the south or at the beach you probably already know about YETIs but we first discovered them this summer and our minds are blown. These are so well insulated you could fill it with ice overnight and it would still be perfectly frozen the next day. Plus they don’t ‘sweat’, so you won’t have to worry about it being wet on the outside. If you’re looking for something that keeps food cold for the long haul (like for the beach, camping, fishing, power outages or all-day events) then it’s well worth the investment. If the Roadie is too much, go for the YETI travel mug which also gets rave reviews and comes with an easier to handle price tag.
Overnight Bags I’ve included two here with various price points to match your budget. I’m coveting the Logan overnight leather bag from Frye but the Novel duffel bag from Herschel is more my husband’s speed. Both are handsome and useful, plus you could throw some fun tickets or a travel kit in there to really take this gift over the top.
Pistachio Pedestal This is one of those inventions that solves a problem. If you have a pistachio lover in your life, gift them this pedestal and a big bag of pistachios for a much-appreciated and handy gift.
Bose Bluetooth Speaker Plays your favorite tunes in clear, full audio from your Bluetooth connected device like a smartphone or iPad… which means you can have music almost anywhere. It’s compact and durable, so perfect for using at home, in the yard, on the beach, or tailgating. With several color options, it’s a great gift for just about anyone on your list!
Ninja Coffee Brewing System For those who want a coffee machine that does it all and won’t trash the environment with disposable plastic cups like the Keurig or Nespresso, this one’s for you. The Ninja brews regular coffee, iced coffee, and rich coffee. You can make one cup or an entire carafe, and it has a built-in frother. Basically it’s like having a personal barista in your very own kitchen, without having to endure the wrong names they write on your cup (yes, I’ve been called ‘Gary’ before. GARY.)
Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch This is the Inspector Gadget of fitness watches. It’s a has a sleek, sporty exterior and a fitness tracker as well as a heartrate monitor. You can sync with your computer or smartphone to track goals as well. It’s also an alarm that tracks sleep and will wake you up at the specified time with gentle vibrations. The band display syncs with your smartphone to display caller ID, text messages and allow control of your mobile playlists. Go go gadget watch!
Stainless Steel Grill Set It’s time to replace the grilling tools, so you might as well get a snazzy set with it’s own carrying case. As someone who loves to organize, I totally approve of the storage case.
Bristle Free Grill Brush Supplement the above grill set or one you already own with this bristle-free grill brush which cleans your grill easily without leaving behind little pieces of metal like traditional grill brushes might.
North Face Glacier Fleece Pullover With a plethora of 5-star reviews, this pullover is lightweight and quick-drying, designed to help regulate your body temperature while you enjoy the great outdoors. It spans the seasons in style and will quickly become a favorite, plus it comes in many colors so you can grab his favorite.
Bluetooth Tracking Tag Just in case you have someone in your life who loses things, this handy tracking tag will keep easy-to-misplace items on your radar with this handsome Bluetooth-powered rosewood tag and companion app. Not that I know anyone who misplaces things. Really. Ahem.
Wooden Beer Caddy with Bottle Opener Cleverly tote a mixed six-pack to parties with this carrier handcrafted out of reclaimed redwood beams. Great as a host gift or for a guy who loves to grill or chill.
UGG Shearling Slippers He is going to love coming home and slipping these on at the end of the day. They’re sturdy and that shearling is heavenly on your toes. I mean his toes. I definitely won’t be stealing these from my husband. Probably.
Alright, I’ve covered the sporty-techy-grilling-beer loving guys our lists. What else you got for me? Any other recommendations? Let’s hear them!
(and hey, if you loved this list, please share it!)
