CVS Diaper Deal: I made money on DIAPERS!

Attention, Frugal Mamas…  I basically just got paid $7.50 to take 3 packs of Huggies and 4 boxes of wipes from CVS!

CVS has Huggies Jumbo packs on sale for $10 each this week.  The wipes are on sale for $3 box.  That’s an okay price, BUT they are giving you $5 back in ECBs if you purchase $20 in Huggies products which makes it better.  Add in coupons and Extra Care Bucks from previous weeks and you have yourself a super-duper deal!

Here are my transactions from today (note: I did two transactions, one with my ECB card and one with my husband’s card).  Keep in mind I used ECBs from last week AND had high value coupons from my sister, who received a mailer from Huggies.  After I show you my transactions, I’ll show you some scenarios for good Huggies deals even if you DON’T have ECBs or those high value coupons.

Here’s how I MADE $7.50 for taking 3 Jumbo packs of Huggies diapers and 4 boxes of wipes from CVS:

Transaction #1:
$20 for two packs of Huggies diapers
minus $6 in coupons (two coupons for $3 off)
minus $13 in ECBs from last week
= $1 total out of pocket, BUT it generated $5 in ECBS to use later!  That’s a $4 moneymaker!

Transaction #2:
$10 for one pack of Huggies diapers
$12 for four boxes of Huggies wipes ($3 each)
minus $2 Huggies diapers coupon
minus 4 Huggies wipes coupons that equaled $3.50 total
minus $15 in ECBs from last week
= $1.50 total out of pocket, BUT it generated $5 in ECBs to use later!  That’s a $3.50 moneymaker!

Of course, within 1/2 hour of getting home I got a $5/$30 CVS purchase sent via email.  Darn, that would have made this deal even SWEETER!*

You can still get a good deal without high value coupons or ECBs.  Though, if you have them it’ll certainly sweeten the deal.  Just follow my transactions above, using coupons from the list below.  The most they will cost is $6.50 per Jumbo pack, but way less if you have better coupons, CVS coupons, or ECBs.

There are lots of Huggies coupons out there, but here are a few places to find them :
$1/1 printable
$2/2 Huggies Diapers, exp. 2-13-10 (coupon insert 01/17/10)
$1/1 Huggies Diapers, exp. 2-13-10 (coupon insert 01/17/10)
$0.50/1 Huggies Baby Wipes, exp. 2-13-10 (coupon insert 01/17/10)

Enjoy all those cheap{er} diapers!
* If you do have a $5/$30 or $5/$20 coupon, be sure to give them that one FIRST before using any of the other coupons.  I would have stocked up on $10 in Valentine’s Day cards to reach $30, making half of them FREE if I had seen my emailed coupon sooner!
