5. The nutritionist is part of Noodle’s Early Intervention services. She’s SO great! And Noodle loooooves her. She kept coming over and hugging and pushing her while we were working on her nutrition plan– sure signs of love.
6. As the tile guy was leaving, he smelled natural gas outside our front door. I always thought I smelled it, too, but never strong enough to call. That sounds stupid in hindsight, but I seriously thought I was just smelling things. I called the gas company, and there was a small leak in the meter. Great way to end the day! At least we caught it and no one got hurt.
7. Now that we are getting closer to finishing the bathroom, I’m getting excited to accessorize it. It’s going to be Noodle’s bathroom, and also the guest bathroom. Which gives me a design dilemma. Do I make it cutesy for Noodle, or sophisticated for guests?
I chose a color from Home Depot’s Freshaire collection called Pond. It’s a blue with hints of gray, green, and silver. I LOVE it. On that note, I thought a fabric shower curtain with turtles/frogs would be cute, but then I found this:
LOVE! It’s cute, but not too cutesy. It’s neutral and matches the primary colors of gray, black, and blue. I thought I would use either brushed nickel shower hooks, or maybe these from Target:
Whoa! You’ve been busy!!! When we did major reno’s a few months ago I had to keep reminding myself that it with ALL BE WORTH IT. So, I just wanted to tell you that too 😉 You will SO enjoy your new space!
I was also gonna ask, which HGTV show are you on? Or WILL you be on?? Or did I read that wrong?! (in your sept29th post)
I love the shower curtain from Kohls and the hooks from Target are just adorable:)
Oh and also , if you have time, you may want to stop by to check out the exciting news I’m sharing today!

Hi Amber,
We were on an episode of “Rip and Renew”. They filmed it while I was 8 months pregnant! It aired last summer on my due date, and reran in the winter. I don’t think the show is on anymore, but it was a cute show. It starred James Lundy (he’s Australian and was on TLC’s “In a Fix”) and Michelle Carano. I’ll post about it at some point with before and afters and inside info. IT WAS A BLAST!
I think last time I sent an update I was only 2/7 through my closet cleaning. I am happy to say that I am now 4/7 through. But crap, it’s Oct. 1. Well, I’m gonna do one more this weekend, and then I think put the other 2 on hold until November because I really REALLY am going to get my bathroom de-papered and painted this month. And put up some new shelving. That’s the extent of it, though–no tiles and tub. 🙁
Although looking at those cute shower curtains makes me think I COULD replace my mildewy, ugly mess of one…can you find one for me that matches “Ugly 80’s Splotchy Turquoise Tile” (official name)?
Love the Pottery Barn stuff…..of course. I am getting ready to paint my living room and hallway…followed by the bathroom and then my bedroom. It’s going to be a busy fall and winter. I love painting though. It’s so exciting to see the finished project. Good luck with the rest of yours.
I love that frilly shower curtain!
Whew – sounds like a busy week! Good thing you will be able to refresh your energy levels with some serious caffeine intake since you’ve WON my Starbucks money contest!!
Email me your address and I’ll send you the card! 🙂
Oh I LOVE that first shower curtain! It’s sweet without being too cutesy! Where is it from?
