Happy Friday! Have anything fun planned over the next few days? I have to tell you how much I loved all your links last week. I visited them all, and either tweeted, pinned to Pinterest, or posted them on the Making Lemonade Facebook page. Thank you for all the inspiration and sharing your hard work! Can’t wait to see what fabulous things you have up your sleeves this week… but first…
Last weekend, my husband was kind enough to take the kids up to Grandma’s house and give me 5 unadulterated hours of organizing, cooking, cleaning, and photographing for the blog. Plus a I took a SHOWER. With time to BLOWDRY MY HAIR.
Among the 21 items on my to-do list was cleaning out the fridge. Before, YUCK:
Friends, here’s the scary part. I fully scrub the fridge at least 2 times a year if not more. Which is why I’m BAFFLED at HOW A BOTTLE THAT EXPIRED IN 2008 managed to sneak by each time? Ya’ll, it expired before Noodle was born!
Granted, it was a mixer for drinks, but still. No excuses. I went after that fridge with a vengeance and let the fall sunshine dry the shelves and drawers.
Ah, so fresh and so clean! Time to go shopping.
After freshening the fridge I tackled my magazine collection. When I read magazines, I like to dog-ear the pages to tear out later. The only problem? Half my stash hadn’t been read yet!
Of the ones that had been read, I tore out the necessary pages to file them at a later date in my binder. You know, next year when both kids are in preschool. You read that right, I already have a list of things to-do when both kids are in school for 4 hours a week next year. My life is ca-ra-zy exciting!
Then I chopped and sauteed and roasted. And stewed. Yum.
One thing I love about fall? Comfort food!
Plus I got to hang the butterfly wall art in Noodle’s room. :: happy dance ::
What did you do to Refresh Your Nest this week? Cook? Clean? DIY? Craft? Sleep? Haha, next time the hubs takes the kids I might go take a nap for 5 hours and dream about cleaning instead.
It’s that time again– time for another RYN party! Didn’t get a chance to refresh anything this week? Link up something from the archives, as long as you haven’t linked it up here before it’s good to go.
1. Link to the specific post, not just your blog’s home page.
2. Including a link back to this party at the end of your post allows others to play along or scout out inspiration for themselves. You would be even more amazing if you posted the Refresh My Nest button– I’ve even made it super easy, just grab the code below the button and paste it in the HTML section of your post.
3. An active linky is a happy linky. PLEASE visit one or more links that interest you so that everyone gets some comments and traffic. There’s nothing more discouraging than taking time to link up and no one visits.
