|Noodle’s “hand and footprint” turkey graced our front door; we get fancy here at the Lemonade house!|
How was your Thanksgiving, friends? Our Thanksgiving was just about perfect. I had seven overnight guests at various points last week, got to meet my 9 month old nephew for the first time, had a home full of wonderful friends and family along with some awfully tempting food and treats. We had visitors from California, Arizona, Massachusetts, New York, Maryland, Pittsburgh… the list goes on and on. It was a week full of blessings for sure.
Here’s a quick rundown of how the day went. You can see where I got really busy because I had to stop taking photos. That means I was really busy.
I played with flowers in the morning, arranging monochromatic bunches around the table to make it pretty until the food was served.
As I was fussing with the flowers my husband decided to go out in the yard and came in with a handful of hydrangeas for me. I love that man.

The renovation is almost done; the big parts were finished just in the nick of time before guests arrived. The fireplace is working, and I must confess I’ve slept several nights on the couch in front of it because it’s so darn cozy. Right this minute I have my first ever vegetable stock brewing in the slow-cooker and the movie Elf playing in the background. Life is good! Just remind me of that in a few days when my husband travels twice to the West coast. We will get a tree this weekend, even if I don’t decorate until mid-December!
