Stop the presses, I have a newsflash for you–

DON’T PAY FULL PRICE FOR CRAFT STAMPS.  Ever.  Unless you really want it, or need it, there’s no reason to pay full price for foam or rubber stamps because you can make them so easily yourself!

Believe it or not, the three stamp ideas I’m sharing below all be made for under a dollar or FREE.  Yes I said it, free!

{please don’t unsubscribe to my blog.  I promise I’m not an infomercial, I just sound like it today.}

Toilet Paper Tube Circle Stamps:

Remember I said ‘free?’  Instead of throwing away used toilet paper tubes, reuse them as stampers.  Simply dip into the paint, and stamp away!

I made overlapping circles here, but you can make “bubbles”, olympic rings, or any other freehand design you can think of thanks to this humble little tube.

Foam Sticker Stamps:

These guys can be found at most major craft stores, The Dollar Store, and Walmart (among other places, I’m sure).  Priced at about $1 per box, they are filled with crafting glory!  Just be sure the package you purchase includes several pieces of the same design.

Simply peel off the backs and stack them:

Then, attach to something to use as a backing.  Projects for Preschoolers (where I first found this great idea) used packing foam as a back.  Since I didn’t have that, I used a wooden craft flower pot.  It would have been best to have something to cover the entire back, but in a pinch it works.

Pool Noodle Flower Stamps:

 From the front, this may look like a regular ol’ scalloped pool noodle.  But when you look down the side you see… a flower!  I found this particular noodle at The Dollar Store.  Just be sure you are getting the scalloped kind or else you’ll end up with a doughnut.  Not that doughnuts are bad, I’m just sayin’.

Cut off a chunk with scissors or a serrated knife (adults do this part, obviously) and you’ve got flower power.

I should note that my mom has given me a dozen or so foam stamps like the one Noodle is using below that she picked up for a few dollars (TOTAL) at garage sales.  So I mean it, don’t pay full price for them if you can help it!
