I’m crossing my fingers and hoping with all my might that spring is around the corner. Or more like closing my eyes and willing it to arrive. There’s a funky mood that has settled over so many of us, and I think it’s because this winter has been brutal. When things get tough, one thing centers me the most. Some hate it. Some love it. Some love to hate it. For me, when the going gets tough, the tough gets cleaning!
Back when I was teaching, I’d spend spring break not in some tropical location but rather tearing the house apart, weeding out the old, and scrubbing everything clean. That little jolt came me the energy to get through the last few months of the school year before the flip-flops and shorts came out to play.
I’ll explain more later, but right now I’m assembling my lineup of star-studded guest bloggers for a spring cleaning blog event in March. Wanna come play? If you have a quick cleaning tip, organizing strategy, or anything spring cleaning related I’d love to have you create a post for my blog. Whether you are a dirty girl or a clean one, come and confess all on my blog. Email me (makinglemonadeblog at gmail dot com) if you are interested!

What a great idea for a blog project!!…I used to be like you too. I LOVE a clean house!! I mean, when you know everything is in it’s place and smelling sparkling new as a penny!…But then that dreaded dust is right back there in 2 hours…*sigh* It is the never-ending story. ^_^

Just saw your blog on SITS and stopped by! I love a clean house, but rarely find the time to get it as clean as I’d like. I find that I get started and then the little details that nobody else notices start to bug me, and then there I am, wiping the baseboards down and a child calls and I have to walk away and I have yet to put the laundry in the hamper… I guess I need to prioritize 🙂

Hmmm – don’t know if I have any tips different from what people know already but I can’t wait to READ the tips your blogger friends will share! I’ve been on a cleaning binge since we moved here – to get out all excess and unnecessary stuff – took a lot longer than I anticipated!! But things look neater and cleaner – my goal – zen-type rooms!
