This delicious and refreshing Frosé (frozen rosé) cocktail recipe is perfect for that ‘endless summer’ feeling! Frozen wine cocktails are all the rage, and this Frosé recipe is sure to be a hit at your next cocktail party or enjoying with friends.
We love wine infused cocktails around here, and our Pick Your Prosecco bar and Santa’s Little Helper punch recipe are two of our favorite drink recipes that use wine as a main ingredient!
Yes, I know, summer is almost over. But here in North Carolina the temps have been in the 90’s all week, and I just can’t quit that carefree summer feeling! These frozen rosé cocktails are perfect for enjoying poolside or cooling down with friends during the lazy last few days of summer– and pinning for next year so you remember it when summer rolls around once more (wink!)
My first time trying Frosé was at Paw Paw restaurant in Charleston, during a fabulous spring break where we enjoyed lunch with friends (as seen here in our Ultimate Charleston visitor’s guide!) Seeing all 6 of our kiddos together at the table while we enjoyed each other’s company in our favorite city was memorable and this version of that famous cocktail brings it all back.
What makes them so delicious? If you love rosé wine, this is the frozen version with a tad of sweetness. It can also be known as a ‘wine slushie’ or ‘boozy smoothie’, whichever floats your boat. Basically, it’s light and delicious and a hit at get-togethers all year long (summer doesn’t really have to end at Labor Day, does it?!)
How to Make Frozen Rose (Frosé) Cocktails
Frozen Rose (Frosé) Recipe
Ingredients (makes 1 drink)
1 cup Rosé
1/2 cup frozen watermelon
1/2 cup frozen sliced strawberries
1 teaspoon of sugar (adjust to taste if needed)
Directions
Add ingredients to a blender (we swear by this one for everything!) and blend until smooth. The amount of sugar can be adjusted according to preference as needed, we liked 1 tsp but some may prefer no additional sweetness and other may want more. Regardless of your choice, we won’t judge. 😉
Summer may be almost over, but you can carry on as usual if you’d like. Don’t worry, you’ll be sipping PSLs and cider in no time; let’s let summer hang out a wee bit longer, shall we?
