Salad Boredom. It’s a thing, people. Get stuck eating the same ol’ salad and soon you’re graduating to Milk Duds and Rootbeer instead. Once summer rolls around, I CRAVE fresh salads like crazy but often get stuck eating the same combo. Whether it’s made with veggies, fruit, pasta, grains– I love just about every type of salad out there so I’m eager to branch out. Since I’m way into salads right now and DO NOT want to experience Salad Boredom, I asked a few friends to help me share the BEST of the BEST salad recipes out there. Each weekend, a new friend will be stopping by to share their favorite summer salad recipe.
This page right here is the main landing page for all the salad recipes, so if you want to see them all linked in on place pin or bookmark it now. Be sure to stop by each Saturday, too, to see that newest salad recipe on the blog. I’ve had a sneak peek at the various flavors and combinations and I can tell you that you won’t every experience Salad Boredom once this summer. Here are the amazing salads we’ve featured so far:
Strawberry Salad with Poppyseed Dressing {It’s a Keeper}
Crunchy Asian Slaw {How I Pinch a Penny}
Tomato & Green Bean Salad {Decor Adventures}
Maple Pecan Salad {Rae Gun Ramblings}
Ginger-Mint Melon Salad {Confectionalism}
Couscous Salad with Cranberries, Lemon & Fresh Herbs {Our Rosey Life}
Black Bean Salad {Migonis Home}
Greek Artichoke Salad {Mom 4 Real}
Fresh Fruit Salad with Blackberry Yogurt Glaze {Sondra Lyn at Home}
Classic Greek Salad with Feta Greek Vinaigrette {The Vintage Mom}
Grilled Chipotle Shrimp Salad {Just Us Four}
If you’re ready to start prepping your own salad now, here’s a few things that rock my salad world:
In an ideal world, I’d have a sparkling clean sink each time I washed off my veggies and fruit. In MY world, I sometimes have dishes in the sink or am reluctant to let a colander sit at the bottom of my sink. I LOVE this over-the-sink colander. It gets used on the daily around here, is attractive, and when done I pop it right into the dishwasher.
Homemade Salad Dressing Bottle w/ Recipes
Once you start making your own dressing, the store-bought stuff will never taste the same. The difference is astounding. This homemade salad dressing bottle is great because the recipes and amounts are right on the side. Just be sure to hand wash it because the lettering can come off in the dishwasher. There’s other brands out there that are dishwasher safe but I adore the recipes on this one!
I’m like a broken record on this one, but honestly, I never knew how much easier cooking could be with a GREAT knife. I disposed of all my other sub-par chef’s knives after using this Victorinox chef knife gifted to me by my brother-in-law! Cuts prep time in half, truly.
On the list of “must haves”, I’ll admit my OXO salad spinner falls last. HOWEVER. I love using the salad spinner to get excess moisture off greens instead of wasting a million paper towels to achieve the same thing. Plus? My kids go crazy over it and beg to be the ones to spin the salad. So there’s that. Free entertainment while I make dinner? Priceless!
Friends don’t let friends experience Salad Boredom. Be sure to share this post with them, and stay tuned! Recipes start coming this weekend! 😉
