Giveaway: $25 Gift Card to Safeway Stores

Here’s a giveaway that’s close to my heart.  When I was a teacher I spent hundreds of dollars of my own money each year to purchase supplies for my classroom.  Kinda tough when you make so little to begin with, but it was worth it to have books in your classroom and supplies for your lessons.  That’s why I love initiatives that support schools and education, and Boxtops for Education is one such endeavor.

To make it even sweeter, the Safeway family of stores (which includes Dominick’s, Tom Thumb, Randalls, Vons, and Genuardi’s) is making it even easier to help with the 2 Ways 2 Earn cash for your schools program.  Just look for the yellow “10% Goes Back to Schools” tags on some of your favorite foods in the Safeway stores between August 11th- September 14th.  When you purchase these items with your Club Card, Safeway will give 10% of the purchase price to the local school of your choice.

Isn’t that great?  It goes to the school YOU choose!

I realize I’m a bit late in posting this giveaway, but I’m hoping you all will still go out and participate before September 14th to support your schools.  Safeway, General Mills, and MyBlogSpark provided a gift card so I could also participate and it was great to check out the thousands of products that will earn $$$ for schools.  I also received a certificate for 50 Bonus Box Tops and that will go to my favorite school as well.

  14. We so need our Box Tops program more than ever! Our district has cut funding for the AR program so we are depending on the EScrip (which Safeway is also a part of) and Box Top programs to fund.
