I’ve been reading Hoity Toity Baby {the blog} for awhile now, so when Nicole posted that she is making blankets for NICU babies I boldly asked if she would consider donating some to the charity we established in honor of my daughter. Our charity, the TEAM ABBY Foundation, is raising money to provide a Philadelphia NICU with Care Bags for families facing long-term hospital stays. One of the items in the bag is a baby blanket to brighten the warmers and cribs of those sweet babies… a small touch of love to warm the hearts of those facing the unthinkable.
Nicole, being the sweetie she is, offered to donate blankets to TEAM ABBY and we are thrilled! The blankets cost $13 to make, so she is accepting donations to cover the cost of supplies. For each $13 raised, a blanket will be donated in your name. Even if you can only give a few dollars, she can group that with other donations to make $13– and then you’ll have a blanket warming a little NICU baby in your name!
If you’d like to give back, you can read her post and donate here.
And if you can’t give right now, you at least have to head over to HTB and read about how her twins were in the movie Marley and Me. Who knew Jennifer Aniston was so sweet? It’s a great blog, and a great cause {if I do say so myself} so I hope you’ll check it out!
If you are interested in learning more about supporting TEAM ABBY and our Care Bag mission, head on over to our website! We are always looking for donations of new baby blankets, board books, and loveys… as well as cash to cover the cost of the actual bags as well as the other items in them.

This is such a worthwhile idea! My daughter was in NICU for a week at birth, but there were parents who’d had children in there for literally months. I’m off to check this group out!
