Well, it looks like we have a week left until Christmas. How did it sneak up so quickly? I’m still scrambling to find meaningful gifts for a few of our favorite teachers, neighbors, and friends so I scouted out several beautiful ideas you can make in a weekend– for just about everyone on your list.
There’s just under a week before Christmas actually arrives, but that’s plenty of time to make these DIY gifts. From hostess gifts to teacher gifts to stocking stuffers, you’ll find plenty of inexpensive gift ideas to go around. Let’s get crafting!
Hostess Gifts
Chris from Just a Girl guest posted these awesome hand painted serving utensils on Infarrantly Creative. Pick up some wooden serving spoons at your local discount store, add some stripes, and BOOM– a fabulous hostess gift set. MADE BY YOU.
These holiday cork trivets from Design, Dining + Diapers are just so mod and fabulous.
How about a vintage inspired wine set? This one cost just $2.
Gift For Grandparents
This entire DIY photo display from Shanty 2 Chic cost just $3. Three Dollars! For that price, you can afford to make them for all your grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, cousins, sisters, brothers…. whew, your family tree is huge.
Gifts For Teachers
Yummy Mummy made these simple yet chic peppermint hot chocolate spoons. Yes, now I’m craving hot chocolate. With peppermint. 😉
As a teacher, I can attest that soap and hand sanitizer are #1 on my ‘love to get’ list. They always come in handy, and this monogrammed soap and hand sanitizer set from The Idea Room are just perfect.
One last teacher gift– a personalized drink sleeve from Finding Pins and Needles. So totally adorbs.
Gifts For Guys
Let’s face it, some guys (my dad and husband, for example) are just tough to shop for. Home Depot has a few ideas for gift sets you can create by shopping the aisles of your fave hardware store. This ‘Go Team’ gift set is great for guys or gals who love sports (trust me, I’d love a Patriots version myself). This page has some creative gift sets you can make for the Weekend Warrior, DIYer, Gardener, and more. In fact, I’m getting fired up to visit my local hardware store to pull together one for the hubs!
Gifts For Kids
This Felt Christmas Tree and Frosty set from All Things Heart and Home is not only adorable but it will keep the kids occupied for hours. And that’s sounding pretty good right about now.
Oh my, I’m so in love with these easy-to-make (really!) animal ornaments from Pleasure in Simple Things.
Now, if anyone has any good suggestions for my dad I’m all ears. He’s impossible, in more ways than one. {love you, dad!}
