Love this summer Stitch Fix delivery, plus great tips on how to get your best Fix!

First, thanks for all your kindly worded comments on my last Stitch Fix post. It’s not easy putting your own image out there, least of all with cheese-related bloating and openly asking for OPINIONS about it, but of course my readers did it with kindness and grace. I’m grateful for an online community that ‘makes lemonade’– I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I have the nicest readers on the planet. I decided to give the personal styling service one last try, and WOW I’m so glad that I did– my ‘re-do’ fix was a homerun.  Read on for how I got my best Stitch Fix delivery yet!

It’s important to note that even Stitch Fix as a brand doesn’t expect each box to be a 5/5. If you can find one or two pieces you love, it’s a total win. Truly I don’t WANT all 5 to work! My KonMari’ed closet feels too good to fill with ‘very good’ clothing and not the best of the best. That being said, I did get rid of almost all of my old (sub-par) spring/summer clothing so I need a few key pieces to build it back up– slowly, and only with those things I truly love and feel great wearing. Once I get set there, I think I’ll just set up one Fix for each season to stay on trend and revitalize my closet.

After I sent back all five of last month’s Fix, I directly emailed and asked if I could have a re-do and they set me up with another Senior Stylist. I’d searched the Stitch Fix discussion group on Facebook for ideas and I’m SO glad I did, as I found and requested this Daniel Rainn Cadez Crew Neck Blouse and she sent it along! I loved it so much that I tried it on and then kept it on for the remainder of the day… and have worn it twice since, even though temps have been so chilly here!

I added my new fave gold bar necklace (not from Stitch Fix) that you can’t even see in this photo (it’s only $18 with FREE shipping and when it’s not sideways it’s the perfect accessory for summer layering!) and was good to go.

LOVE this gold bar necklace, it's only $18 and perfect for summer! http://rstyle.me/n/bqgwb5bh5dx

The rest of the day was technically too rainy and cold to wear a tank top but I didn’t want to take it off so I paired it with an open cardigan and Hunter rain boots, haha! Here is my annoyed at the weather face, but I wanted to show that this top is versatile. STATUS: KEEP AND CAN THEY SEND ME LIKE FIVE MORE?

Next was the Collective Concepts Cresswell Tie Neck Top. I’d pinned this one, and my stylist found it on my pinboards. It can really close to being a ‘yes’, but I didn’t love it the way I loved the Daniel Rainn top so I decided to let it go. STATUS: SEND BACK

In the above photo you can see the Lila Ryan jeans I requested after loving the skinny jeans from Fix #3. She sent a pair in a different style, the Liza Skinny Jean. These delivered– they were mid-rise (I specifically requested that after the last Fix fiasco of low-rise jeans and my muffin top issue). They’ve already been in heavy rotation as this spring has been chilly for sure! STATUS: KEEP

They sent the Accio Cold Shoulder Top, which I hoped to like. I keep laughing at my expression here, fashion photos are hard yo! Unfortunately, it didn’t flatter my figure so… STATUS: SEND BACK

Last, I requested a pink blouse and had the Pixley Boden Embroidered Blouse pinned to I was thrilled when they sent it. It’s very ‘me’– the color, the fit, the style. I’m looking forward to pairing it with white jeans for a ‘business casual’ look this summer. Sorry for the awful photo but really it’s tough to take pictures with so little natural light. Is this dreary weather getting to any other east coasters?! STATUS: KEEP

One trick to getting the most bang for your buck is to actually sell the pieces you don’t want in the Stitch Fix Facebook group to get 25% off your entire Fix because you’re keeping all 5 items. I had too much going on with the house being on the market and the 3-day return window was closing in, so I opted to send it back. But it’s a great way to save money on your Fix!

All in all, with a 3/5 I’d say this was my best Fix yet! I’m looking forward to my next one, and then I might hold off until Fall since I anticipate being mostly in cropped yoga pants and workout tanks all summer as we pack up the house and go on adventures. If you sign up for Stitch Fix through my affiliate link let me know and I’ll add you to the SUPER helpful Stitch Fix group on Facebook so you can scout out items you’d like to try!

I’ve set up one more summer delivery for next month; here’s hoping it’s another homerun!
