Description: Part-time position (about 2 hours a week) completing, photographing and writing step-by-step directions for DIY projects. This is a work from home position, but you must live within easy driving distance of Apex, NC as all supplies will be provided for you to pick up once a month.
Requirements: computer with high-speed internet, DSLR camera and photo editing software, natural light and clean background for photographing projects
Responsibilities:
- put together assigned projects, which can include crafts, easy recipes, DIY projects, and essential oil DIY recipes
- take step-by-step photos of each project as it’s created (including before and after photos)
- write materials and directions for each project (will be used in blog posts)
- edit photos so they are clear, bright and beautiful
- pick up materials in Apex, NC
Professional & Personal Skills:
I’m looking for candidates who have:
- creativity and are able to take a project idea and figure out the steps for creating it
- strong writing skills
- impeccable attention to detail
- mastery of English spelling and grammar
- great communication and interpersonal skills
- experience with blogging/ social media is a bonus but not required

Seeking part time assistant to help scale business to the next level. Assistant will be mostly virtual with flexibility to occasionally meet in person (in Apex, NC) for on-hand tasks such as prepping materials for shipping, marketing for my book launch, and assistance with photography and styling. This is the perfect position for someone who has managed or written a blog in the past, or has the skill set to do so but perhaps not the desire for a full-time position. Potential expansion of hours as business continues to grow and/or with the addition of styling and photographing tutorials.
Requirements: computer with high speed internet, transportation for occasional meetings
Responsibilities:
Edit, resize and watermark photos for publishing on the blog and social media
Backend work on the website (such as organizing online galleries, adding graphics to sidebar, some blog design work)
Blog post creation (uploading photos and links, writing copy)
Managing and tracking affiliates and affiliate links
Creating graphics for blog and business
Some in-person tasks (such as putting together mailings and marketing for essential oils business and book launch)
OPTIONAL but highly desired: Styling and photographing step-by-step tutorials, video and video editing
Professional Skills:
Excellent written communication skills
Experience and proficiency with Photoshop (editing, resizing, and watermarking photos)
In-depth knowledge of WordPress
Excellent graphic design skills for creating blog and business graphics and social media optimized images
Utilizes best practices for marketing across all social media channels
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver on time
Ability to match the blog’s unique style and brand in graphics and photos
Flexibility in a fast paced digital environment as technology and methods change frequently
OPTIONAL but highly desired: Skilled in styling photos and digital photography, video creation and video editing
