First of all, thanks for hanging in with me as we navigate some technical difficulties!
Welp, my new-ish laptop (just over a year old) had to be sent to the Mac hospital and won’t be back until next Friday at the earliest. I’m rolling with the punches, but let me tell you– Operation Carrie Unplugged is driving me a bit bonkers! It’ll be interesting to see how I handle being without my laptop for over a week. We’d made accomodations (like a portable DVD player to help my daughter eat) but needless to say it’s been crazy. Thankfully we have a desktop computer; the problem is that I really can only get to it at night after Noodle is asleep. That’s certainly better than nothing, though a tad bit inconvenient for an on-the-go blogger.
Here’s a few tidbits that I wanted to point out:
:: All my Stork Report spreadsheets were on the laptop. Those documents won’t be available to me for over a week, and while I do have emails and Etsy convos so I can rebuild them it’s going to be tough to contact everyone in a timely manner. THEREFORE, let’s start The Stork Report on February 8th so I have time to give everyone a firm date as to when they will be guest blogging and/or sponsoring a giveaway. Your date may be later than that, but not earlier. So if you are guest blogging, feel free to write your post and rest assured it won’t be needed until AFTER the 8th. Sponsors, use the time to stock your shops and we’ll start rolling out giveaways on the 8th. Thank you so much for your patience…
:: A word to the wise: even though I had Applecare on my computer, they still charged $100 to transfer the data to a back-up drive. Since it wouldn’t start for me, my only option was to have them do it. Considering a good external drive costs less than that, I hope my laziness stupidity is a lesson for all those who have photos/ documents/ etc. on their computer that haven’t been backed up. If that applies to you, stop reading this, GO BACK UP YOUR STUFF, and then come back {please}. My laptop was just over a year old and the crash came from nowhere.
:: Have you just returned from backing up your data? Good. I do have to say this unplugged time will give me a chance to get things done. Maybe it’ll end up being a gift in the end. I still have some blogging duties to uphold (I’m the “expert” on the Tip Junkie Community next week!) but it will cause me to plan my time wisely. And, make a massive trip to IKEA. The hubs has no idea what he’s in for on Saturday. 😉
I’ll still read comments and emails (I love them!) but may not be able to respond as quickly as I’d like. Once again, thanks for your patience until I get back on track!

Cant wait for the stork report, did we ever narrow down what you would like me to write about?
