Last year you might remember I took Noodle to Sesame Place. I’d say it was a disaster, but despite all the things that happened I was still able to spend time with a great friend and at least say I tried to give Noodle a day of normalcy.
Just as a refresher, this is what she looked like in line for the first ride:
And, {you’re welcome}, but no photos of her second ride– which she “christened” with reflux.
No photos either of our wait in line at the Lazy River, and me tearfully begging a family in front of us to let us cut in front because Noodle freaked out over the overstimulation of waiting in line and was gagging and just moments from puking again.
As for photos of the 45 minute wait for food, none of which Noodle could actually eat due to her feeding issues, yeah, no pics of that either.
In a moment that can only be described as sheer insanity, I decided to try again this year. I mentioned it to my husband, and couldn’t believe it when he took a day off of work {which has been crazy busy for him}. Remembering the lunch disaster last time, I paid $66 for the 3 of us to eat lunch with the characters in air conditioned glory. Our date with Sesame was now set in stone. Errrr, and by “stone” I mean dollars.
Here’s where I had a long and frustrating internal debate. Now that we had the eating part resolved, what was the one thing standing in between a good day and a disastrous one?
Looking at the map, there were only 4 rides that Noodle could actually go on because the rest would irritate her reflux or she was under the height requirement due to her diminutive statue (at 3+ years old, she still only weighs 25 pounds). And to get to those rides required standing in a long line– which she simply can not do. It makes her anxious and overwhelmed.

This seems like a great post to get ideas for blogging dollars, thanks for sharing. I love that Dr. Youn – I’ve seen him on Rachael Ray. I have his book, a generous friend gave it to me, but I have yet to read it, but I am going to do so soon! Thanks for all of the tips here.
Best,
Gloria

WOW! There’s a lot of info here. It’s gonna take me a little while to digest some of it, because I’m not sure I really understand some of the terms and everything. {affiliate, ad network, widgets and gizmos and middleman companies} I mean, I say things like “hock their stuff”! Clearly I’m over my head speaking ‘computer english’!!! LOL Thanks for taking the time to answer my question so thoroughly, and for the link to my blog too.

Carrie, great post, and I’ll go back and read the previous one, too.
I’m trying to figure out what I want to do before I get asked so that I’m ready. Social Spark sounds like a good place to start, and maybe Collective Bias when they start accepting new members again.

Blogging is such a great help for business in so many ways.
Able to promote your site, showcase your products and another thing that make blogging helpful is your ability to express your ideas. There are type of people who doesn’t like to talk about what they feel but if they do it through writing they can definitely say it well.
Somehow blogging becomes a therapy too.

This was such an interesting post!! I was wondering if you could recommend me a good book or e-book about this topic. So I can learn what that ‘ad network’ is, or ‘affiliate’, …
