My nephew taught us a song this weekend, and each line ended with the words “oh no!” or “all right!” That’s how this past week has been around here, too…
Two babies were born to people I love {all right!}
Poor Noodle ended up in the ER for stitches on Thursday {oh no!}:
Then we flew up to Boston for my mom’s birthday on Friday {all right!}:
and beat a hasty retreat back to Philly, just in time for an epic storm {oh no!}:
But I’m stocked up on candy and water. And wine. {all right!}
And now we wait. We’ve prepared as much as we could, and took the kids out for dinner before the weather really got bad. I’m nervous of course, but there’s not much we can do at this point. It could be a little while before things are back up and running around here, both on the east coast and on the blog.
Rollercoasters have never been my favorite, and this week has certainly been a wild ride.
I’ll keep you updated via Twitter and Facebook as long as we have power, and please everyone, stay safe!
XO,
Carrie
PS- if you aren’t in the hurricane zone, you might want to take advantage of the opportunity and create an emergency kit. While you’re at it, make a cold and flu survival kit as well. It’s when the storm hits that supplies become hard to find– take it from everyone who tried to find “D” batteries today, stock your kits now!

This promises to be quite a storm, with tales to tell your grandchildren. Take care!
