Quick Room Refresh (and the Serena & Lily Sale!)

For years I’ve always said that I could choose just one store from which to decorate my entire home, it would be Serena & Lily. Each piece embodies the easy, breezy coastal style I adore. After all, it’s not the things in your home that make a room ‘decorated’, it’s how the space makes you feel. This style makes me feel calm, happy and at peace– and turns my home into a true haven where I can relax with my family and friends.
My friends at Serena & Lily sent a few pieces my way for a quick room refresh. I focused on updating the sitting area off of our master bedroom, which we affectionately dubbed ‘the pajama lounge.’ It’s where we relax at the end of a long day, either with a glass of wine and binge-watching Netflix with my husband or some nights with a favorite movie and the kids snuggled around us.

I still remember when we first moved into our house and I had the Serena & Lily catalog sitting on our coffee table, dogearred like crazy. Casey walked and he said, ‘this is SO our style.’ What he meant is we love coastal living, it’s our dream to retire somewhere by the sea. And despite what his closest and office look like at the moment (STUFFED), he’s really into a minimalist vibe.
This part of our bedroom is a total blank slate at the moment (quite literally, white walls and a white couch!) so the blue popped perfectly. We plan to paint and add bookshelves and a coffee table and some art soon, but until then, a mini-makeover is JUST what was needed in this (formerly) lackluster space.
These pillows are heirloom quality pieces, and the difference is in the details. The thick texture, the hidden zippers, the quality construction.
Take these tassels, for instance. LOVE the double tier and gold thread. That’s truly exceptional quality! It makes my little decorating lovin’ heart skip a beat.
