Hey friends. Can we have a heart-to-heart?

I know from reading solid research studies and also personal experience that stress weakens your immune system. This spring, it’s important to try our best to breathe and stay calm and find time to work on self-care.

Including small self-care rituals into your daily routine this spring can help add joy and boost wellness. Taking care of your emotional, mental, and physical health is so important.

One of the ways you can do that this spring is to create a daily tea ritual. And because I love quick and easy organization projects, I set up a tea station with tea bags, honey, and stirrers and I look forward to using it every day. Each afternoon I’ll make a cup of hot tea and in my favorite mug as a way to center myself and boost wellness, too.

We plan to be outdoors more during this season, even if it’s in our own yard or on long walks and hikes in the woods. Steaming mugs of tea help ease seasonal issues, and that zing of lemon reminds us that spring is indeed here.

Making your own tea station is such a simple way to inject joy and self-care into your day. Get a favorite mug or tea cup. Place a few varieties of tea bags in a small dish, bowl or tray. I used a drawer in my kitchen with bamboo dividers. Add in little pots of honey and a dipper, or whatever you like to serve with your tea. If you want to set this up in your office or away from your kitchen, you can add an electric kettle.

Even the ritual of watching honey drip into my mug has force me to stop and breathe for a moment.

Keeping it real: Usually I’ll have one or two gluten-free cookies with my tea each afternoon too. It’s such a treat!

There’s many delicious Bigelow varieties out there, and some of my new favorites boast additional health supporting ingredients such as turmeric, ginger and lemon. The Lemon Ginger is my hero right now as I work to restore gut health, and the Green Tea contains healthy antioxidants and has a smooth and delicate taste.

I love that Bigelow’s foil packaging protects freshness, they have US manufacturing, and include quality tea & ingredients in all their products. The best part is you can check out Walmart.com to purchase Bigelow Teas this spring season.

I’ve added books into my daily self-care too; there’s nothing more soothing than curling up with a book and a mug of tea on the couch. My kids have been cuddling up and reading too now that they’re off of school for a bit.

I pray you’re able to slow down and embrace the small things right now too. I’m sending lots of virtual hugs and steaming cups of tea your way. Take CARE of yourself this spring, you deserve it!

I know tea rituals differ in all parts of the world and I’d love learning about them; tell me how you #TeaProudly in the comments!
