Ahhhh, the budding of the trees… tulip leaves poking through the ground… crocuses unraveling to reveal their jewel-like flowers… it’s spring CONSIGNMENT SEASON again!
Can I admit something? Before I had Noodle, I wanted all her stuff to be new. She deserved it. Why would I want to risk getting something used and have it not work? Or have germs? Or even worse– be OLD! And then she arrived, and we had all these new things we used for about 3 months and put into storage once she was done.
What. A. Waste.
Now Noodle gets almost nothing new unless I get it on a super sale at a retail outlet (or from Etsy, because I love to support those shops!) Everything else has been scooped at my favorite consignment spots. It’s a real high when I find something we need at a fraction of the retail cost. I have found some truly fantastic things at these sales, and hope my luck continues this time around. I also don’t buy anything unless it’s in perfect condition, a plan that has served me well. At some point I’ll be able to turn around and sell them myself!
There are two big sales this weekend, and I plan on wearing my comfiest clothing and shoes and scouting out some deals. On my list? A double stroller, a bouncy chair, 9-12 month sized clothing for a 21 month old Noodle, a small playhouse, a wagon, Robeez… whew, better get some rest before the sales!
