Thank you to everyone who completed the Making Lemonade survey {and entered to win a $50 gift card to Target}. It was the best $50 I’ve spent business-wise this year; your comments and answers were extremely helpful and insightful. Hopefully you always feel free to email me with comments, questions, feedback, ideas– I’m a collaborator, always have been and always will be. If you like or don’t like something you see, I hope you’ll let me know!
I’ve always been a people pleaser, so it was important for me to know what keeps you coming back as a reader to Making Lemonade. That said, I need to keep in mind Bill Cosby’s advice, “I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.“ Another favorite quote is in the words of Henry Ford: If I’d asked customers what they wanted, they would have said “a faster horse.” In other words, I need to stay true to myself and the mission of my blog while things interesting and informative for all of you. As this blog turns two, I’m keeping that in mind as I move forward on this blogging adventure– and am SO appreciative of all those who come along with me!
As for the actual survey, your words of encouragement meant more than you know. Really and truly, THANK YOU for taking the time to give feedback! If anyone is interested I’ll let you know the results, but didn’t want to bore anyone if that’s not something you want to read. {see, I’m such a people pleaser! It’s a sickness!} Until then, I’ll just bask in the glow of your kind words and support.
Oh, what’s that? You want to know who won the Target gift card? If you insist. Here you go:
The winner is comment #11, Kelly of The Raudenbush Family! Her blog, Boy Girl Boy Girl Boy Girl chronicles the journey of her family and the path they took for adoption (and supporting other adoptive families). Congrats, Kelly, I’m sure it will go toward something good!
There are more giveaways in the works as well as a fresh new start. Thanks to your feedback, I have a list of design changes for Erin at Designer Blogs to work on. Hopefully you are enjoying Refresh Your Nest Fridays, and I have a new weekly series debuting soon. I’ve been working my tail off to get some projects finished, too. Thanks for joining me on this wild ride, and here’s to another great year of blogging!
