I’ll be honest, when my son started talking about Minecraft I thought, “Here we go! Then end of the innocence!” Turns out that while Minecraft sounds scary (Creepers and Demons, yikes!) it’s really a fun game for kids to build using virtual cubes. When I realized my son was creating these spectacular worlds I totally softened to the game. While he loved the LEGO Valentines we made last year, this year he’s all about these FREE Printable Minecraft Valentine’s Day Cards for his classmates.
If you want to add something extra, there’s lots of clever ideas in this Craft Projects for Minecraft and Pixel Art Fans book (you can imagine my delight and inability to say ‘no’ when he asked if he could buy this book– boys + crafts + book = YES!):
We especially love using Perler Beads to make keychains and necklace charms. That would take a lot of work for a large class, but if making for a few friends it would be a fun & crafty addition to the cards.
Any Minecraft fans in the house? In addition to these printable Valentines, I have a funny feeling a Minecraft Birthday Party will be coming up in just a few short months if my son has anything to say about it!
