When it comes to Thanksgiving decor, some trends come and go but creating a welcoming and cozy table will always be in style. With that in mind, I spend a bit more money on timeless pieces that will still look great 20 years from now– such as white dishware and classic serving pieces. Then, I use inexpensive decor pieces to jazz it up and it’s the perfect recipe for an easy, simple, and cozy Thanksgiving table every time.

One trick I love is to invest in white dishes. They’ll never go out of style, and work for every holiday. Simply switch up the charger underneath to change the vibe.

Another version of this is to use holiday themed salad plates over large dinner plates, as seen a Thanksgiving tablescape I created many years ago!

Another trick is to place a wreath flat on your table and add a flameless candle or pumpkin in the middle, and it turns into an instant centerpiece.

Draping a blanket over one of the chairs or adding a throw pillow makes the dining room extra cozy. And gold candlesticks transition beautifully into Christmas and New Years as well. I have a pair on my sideboard and they work with every season.

One timesaving tip I’ve learned is to set your Thanksgiving table a few days before the holiday, if possible. It eliminates the stress of trying to get everything prepared and you can cross that to-do off your list early in the week!

  1. We are a relaxed family and go with a farmhouse style table. I like to bring in sprigs of magnolia and decorate more rustic. I use white plates but this year will be adding wood chargers underneath. Happy Thanksgiving.
