Thinking about (and planning for) holiday traditions this week really got me excited about one of my favorite activities: baking Christmas cookies with the kids!  I’m nothing if not a planner, so after some searching I found a few great Christmas treat ideas & recipes that’ll be perfect for the holiday parties, school events, and neighbor gifts that are already filling our December calendar. They range from easy to more complex, winter themed to flat-out Santa-fied.  So without further ado, enjoy this sugar fueled roundup of treats I can’t even eat since I’m gluten free.  But YOU can probably eat them, and bake them, and bring them to parties where everyone will crown you Queen of the Christmas cookies.  GO YOU.  😉

It’s beginning to look a lot like… okay, I’ll let you get through Thanksgiving first.  But if you’re interested, there’s a Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Sweets and Treats Pinning Party on Sunday starting at 12PM ET.  Join the fun by following me on Pinterest to see my picks from around the web, and follow the Sweets & Treats board as well to see which treats other BHG pinners are finding pin-worthy!

And if you are SO not ready to even THINK about Christmas, I’m with you– pin this one for later so when you’re ready you’ll remember where you saw those adorable strawberry Santa hats.  😉
