Boo! Ghosts of Halloween Past

Before she was dubbed “Noodle”, our daughter was nicknamed “Sweet Pea”. It started as an inside joke because in the NICU her kidneys failed and we all prayed she’d pee. I know that doesn’t sound funny, and certainly at the time it wasn’t, but the good news is that her kidneys amazingly came back that’s the moment she became our “Sweet Pee”.
When Halloween rolled around I had the perfect costume– a pea pod. It was only coincidence that this costume was handed down to me before Noodle was even born, so imagine my determination that she WOULD be a pea for her first Halloween when I pulled it out of storage. It was her fate, after all.
As you can tell, Noodle was OVER IT. She fell asleep as we were putting it on her.
She did wake up for a moment to be tortured by the camera.
Ah, sweet baby pea!
Fast forward a year. Ms. Noodle started walking, and loved showing off her fancy footwork trick or treating in the neighborhood.
Those pink shoes were magic, I’m telling you.
This year, she has a new pair of pink shoes. With SPARKLES. And Baby Bee? He’s going as a Sweet Pea, of course. He can thank us later when we show those photos to future girlfriends. 😉
What are you and your family dressing up as this year?
Come on back and link up photos on Monday for our last Spooktacular link-up of the year!
