I’ve been holding out on you. I used to post these as I found them, but time prohibited that this month. Over the past few weeks I’ve found a bunch of thrifty finds just waiting for a new home. Here’s a few highlights:
A bright red pitcher from France. I have red accents in my kitchen, so I think it’s going there. For $4, I thought it was a good find.
I could not pass this vintage Made in Japan serving plate up. It perfectly matches a divided bowl from my husband’s nana. They’ll go nicely together, especially since it was just $5!
How much do I want this Pottery Barn book rack for Noodle’s room (retails for $99)?
Enough that when I saw this dish rack at the thrift shop I picked it up and carried it around with me (with a few other things, while pushing a stroller) just so no one else could get it first. The best part? Instead of costing $99, it was just $5. A few cuts with a saw, a coat of paint, some pearl sheen, perhaps a few decorations and I think we have a book rack!
This frame might look worthless, but wait ’till you see what I’ve got planned for it. Hint: it’s something for baby boy’s room (gosh, I need a nickname for him). It was $6, but with a coupon only came out to be $4.50. Yes, I even use coupons at a thrift store.
I’ve had this for years, but it’s getting ready for a re-do so I had to show you first. I think it cost $3 at a yard sale. It’s going back in the guest room, but not without a few touch-ups first.
I mentioned these in another post, but I got these floral picks at Michaels for 90% off (that’s .5 cents each). They are already on their way to becoming something else… stay tuned!
My project bin is getting VERY full. I’m a big dreamer. Now I need the time to make it all happen. I’m having the hubs spray paint a ton of things for me this weekend so they’ll be ready for a few added touches. If that happens, expect some fun DIY projects next week!

Oh I do miss thrifting. I’ve told myself I can’t buy anymore thrift store finds (other than clothing) until I have a yard sale and get rid of the boxes and boxes in the garage and about 1/2 of the trinkets and knick-nacks in the house. So it’s really nice to just enjoy your lovely finds. And I did enjoy it!
I can’t wait to see that bookcase, it’s going to be gorgeous!
