DIY Natural Soft Scrubbing Cleaner (just two ingredients!)

I almost feel guilty writing a whole post about this recipe for soft scrubbing cleaner because it is just so simple. However, simple is good when it comes to cleaning so I can’t contain this secret any more, especially when the results are this impressive. There’s two magic ingredients that when mixed together create the most perfect soft scrubbing solution for areas such as sinks and tubs. Anywhere you can use the retail ‘soft scrubbing’ product, you can use this homemade and NATURAL version!
I mean, check out these results… notice the rust stain the builder left behind in our sink– there was one in each corner but here’s a close-up:
And the grunge left over after my former cleaning routine. You can see there’s still stains left even after a regular rinsing.
Here is AFTER I added the cleaner to a sponge and quickly wiped down the sink:
It took longer to grab my camera than make this cleaner, it can literally be made in under 30 seconds. And the product itself is so powerful it’s like a little army of scrubbers doing all the work for you. See how it SHINES?!
So what are the two ingredients?
Baking soda and dish soap! All you do is mix equal parts Thieves dish soap and baking soda into a paste. I use the Thieves dish soap for so much more than dishes, such as in my homemade jewelry cleaner recipe. It’s mild and naturally powered with essential oils.
Plant power, baby!
It really is that easy. You can use regular dish soap as well but it won’t be as natural as the Thieves. If you want to get your hands on some Thieves dish soap at 24% off retail, join my Young Living team with a Premium Starter Kit and you’ll get 24% off all YL products moving forward.
Okay friends, I’m off to go (soft) scrub some more. I love that I don’t have to junk up my home with toxins to keep it clean and sparkling!
