Great Gift Ideas for HER {Holiday Gift Guide}

Almost all our gifts have been bought and even wrapped (I can assure you, that is a first, and it only happened because my husband suggested cracking open a bottle of wine and watching Love Actually so we wrapped during the movie last Saturday, wild times…) and now it’s time for a little day dreaming. A little wish making. A little… Dear Santa… slip a few of these under the tree for me, please. 😉 These gift ideas for women would also be appreciated by best friends, sisters, mothers, babysitters, cousins, and almost anyone of the female persuasion. So go ahead, splurge a bit. You, ahem, I mean SHE, deserves it!
This pave chevron ring is STUN.NING in person, and the perfect price point for a fun piece of jewelry! I tried it on at a recent Mom Mixer and fell in love because it beautifully coordinates with so many outfits, from casual to dressy, and can even be paired with other rings. I ordered it last night from my friend Jennifer Oxenford who is a Stella & Dot stylist, so if you’re looking for fabulous (sparkly) gifts for yourself or someone else, she’ll help you out!
This set of copper measuring cups from Anthropologie would looks so great in my kitchen. Which is how I choose all my utensils. 😉
Point of View Table Candleholder
A piece of art in it’s own right, this POV Candleholder changes depending on how you view it– from the top it looks very different than each side. Available from the always stylish DLK starting next week, this is skyrocketing to the top of my wish list!
After all the traveling I’ve done this year, it’s become clear I need new luggage so I can stop stealing my husband’s bag. Preferably something that’s lightweight, wheeled, and will fit in the overhead bin. After reading many reviews, this Samsonite Luggage Spinner seems perfect for the job.
It’s time. Time to invest in an immersion blender like this Smart Stick by Cuisinart. After this fall’s apparent addiction to squash soup, I can see how this tool could really come in handy when blending soups, smoothies, applesauce, and more. But really, it’s all about the squash soup.
I’ve been head over heels (teehee) for these MK boots for awhile now, but have yet to make it up to the outlet to see if I can score a pair on sale. If anyone sees them at a decent price, let me know– the two tones (black and brown) make them extremely versatile for almost every outfit. I’ve had the same boots for almost 4 years now, time to add to my collection. 😉
Hello Totes
These screen printed totes with hopeful messages are adorable. How I wish I’d had this ‘Hey Mama’ tote to drag around the baby gear back in the day instead of a bulky diaper bag!
This newly reformulated skincare line from Young Living has been getting a lot of good buzz lately, and I can’t wait to try it out! I just have to decide between the ART kit or perhaps the Sheerlume face lotion. Or maybe just get both. I’m so thankful my Young Living business is thriving so I might as well splurge a bit and enjoy it!
Black and White (and a bit in between)
When it comes to decorating books, I have a hard time finding ones that have a modern yet classic, liveable style and seem ‘fresh’ instead of recycled ideas or things I’ve seen before. I want to feel inspired when I open up the pages; not to copy the looks, but interpret them in my own home. After perusing endless decor books and narrowing it down to Black & White (and a bit in between) being the PERFECT one for me, I decided to splurge and buy it for myself– only to discover my mom already ordered it for me. That makes it even more extra special. 😉
Anything from Athleta
My typical daily uniform since quitting my teaching job has been a pair of nice jeans, boots or flats, and a top with something drapey or poncho-y layered over it. Day in and day out, that’s what I would wear for school drop-offs, errand running, playdates, and even in the spray painting and DIYing. However, I upped my sessions at the gym this year and spray painting in my nice pair of flats just was not practical so I decided on a uniform change. That’s when I discovered Athleta (nope, not being paid to say this, either). It’s great how you can try out the clothes in the gym and return them if they don’t live up to expectations (so far they have, but I’ve purchased workout pants from other retailers that most decidedly have NOT). I’ve been living in their comfy gear this fall and they’ve made it so easy to transition from gym to home to playground (to IKEA, to The Little Gym, to….) I’ll still wear my old ‘mom style’ too, but more likely than not you’ll find me in my Brooks sneakers and Athleta gear as I run (quite literally) from place to place. If Santa deems me worthy, I wouldn’t mind finding a gift card under the tree because Athleta can be pricey (but oh-so-worth it!)
There you have my picks for women who are home decor obsessed, like to cook, dress comfortably but with some bling, and have a bit of travel wanderlust in their heart. Hm. Sound like anyone you know?
