::: I accidentally received two Parade magazines with my newspaper this week. Why is this good? Because there is a coupon inside for $2 off of Huggies diapers (48 count or larger). Normally I wouldn’t get so excited, except that I spied Target has a sale on Huggies big packs ($18.99 each) AND a gift card offer ($5 card) WHEN YOU BUY TWO! So I’m off to Target today to pick up 2 boxes of diapers for $29 total after discounts/ gift card, or $14.50 each. WOOT! That’s a pretty good deal for those big boxes of diapers. Parade magazine’s coupons can be local, but check if yours has this offer and if so get some extra copies from friends or family members who don’t need diapers. You could really stock up!
::: We’ve never gotten around to decorating the outside of our home for Christmas, EVER. I’d add a few things here and there, but mostly we kept it undecorated and concentrated on the inside. Last Christmas was the worst we’ve had thus far– we were beyond sleep deprived, our child was sick, my father-in-law was in the hospital, and the list goes on. We can’t predict what this year will bring, but we both decided we needed to go all out for the season. That’s a really long explanation for the following notes: Michaels has marked a ton of Christmas decorations 40%- 60% off! Folks, that’s post-Christmas sale prices! We got entryway trees for 60% off (by the way, we were overcharged but thankfully I checked the receipt and got money back!); wreaths for each window were only $2.99 each; ribbon, picks, greenery… you name it, it was discounted! It would be a great time to stock up on these things if you are looking to update or add to your collection. And don’t forget to use the coupons in this week’s circular!
::: I found a few fun things on sale at JoAnn Fabric. These garlands were marked down 75%, and the it’s-so-not-my-style-but-I-love-it-anyways feather wreath was on sale, too. I love it when that happens! The pinecone candle holder was .97 cents at the thrift store (see below). Here’s a sneak peek until I get them up on the mantle:
::: I have to share these finds from the local thrift shop. Don’t underestimate what you can find there! The ribbon was .49 FOR EACH SPOOL! I’ve already used some, and the rest can wait for Noodle to use when she does crafting projects in a few years (assuming she inherited the gene). The vintage mistletoe napkins were $1, and I thought they’d make great wrapping paper. I got two outfits for my nephew and four books. Total was $15 for everything, so I walked away happy!
