What a pleasure it has been to visit new blogs and see your amazing projects and ways you are refreshing your nests. While this may not be the biggest linky party in town, it’s been wonderful to take my time to visit and enjoy ALL the links. I’m thrilled even those of you without blogs or who didn’t have a post to link are still chiming in and keeping up, comment-wise. You know, taking care of your family or managing to do even one load of laundry certainly counts as refreshing your nest. We can’t do it all, all the time. Or some of it, some of the time. Heck, some weeks I feel I can’t do any of it, ever! {ahem. last week}.
Unbelievably, I managed to finish almost all the tasks on my October Monthly Reminder list. Including the fun ones (drinking seasonal beer, making pesto) and not-so-fun ones (got propane tank filled, scheduled heating system check, cleaned out flower pots/cleaned off deck).
There were two extra-curricular projects I did finish, but haven’t had a chance to photograph them yet. One of them involves these amazing butterflies (made from feathers) that I purchased on a recent solo trip to NYC. Photos do not do them justice. Which is part of the reason why I haven’t been able to photograph the finished project properly yet. And this is not the finished project, I promise, they are still in the package here:
The other project involves this fabric that I hinted about a few weeks ago. I’m still in love with it. Even more so now that it’s done. 😉
My beachy-summer stuff finally got switched out for fall decor, including these gems I snatched up at the Pottery Barn Outlet a few weeks back. Don’t they look so pretty grouped like that? Wish I could have just kept it that way, ha!
Well. Enough about me. It’s really all about YOU, and how YOU’VE Refreshed Your Nest! Here are a few from last week:
Mug rugs at City Girl Gone Coastal. I know, go ahead and melt from the cuteness right now.
I’m in lurve with the pattern on this painted table runner from Sew Woodsy.
Now I can’t stop brainstorming ways to use a wardrobe like this one from Potentially Beautiful.
My girl Brittany shows how to decorate naturally over at Pretty Handy Girl.
This aqua and orange color combo for Halloween over at home.made is making me do a happy dance.
“Things to Do with a Rice Sack” might be the title, but there’s a chance I’m going to sneak in and steal the piano bench next to it from I Know How Is Babby Formed.
1. Link to the specific post that fits our theme, not just your blog’s home page.
2. Including a link back to this party at the end of your post allows others to play along or scout out inspiration for themselves. You would be even more amazing if you posted the Refresh My Nest button– I’ve even made it super easy, just grab the code below the button! There’s even a new, smaller button to display.
3. An active linky is a happy linky. PLEASE visit one or more links that interest you so that everyone gets some comments and traffic. There’s nothing more discouraging than taking time to link up and no one visits.
