Have you heard of Joss and Main? It’s a deal site for decor, housewares, and furniture from the CSN folks. When first offered the chance to sign up, I hesitated– I mean, some of the items are really high end and not my style. After a few months of receiving the emails and browsing the selections, however, I’ve found it to be a fabulous source of inspiration and appreciate the vast selection of products. Any given day you’ll find items ranging from stationery to Melissa and Doug toys to rugs to cookware and much more.
Some of the deals are considered steals, and others– well, others are good prices for higher end items if you are in that market. This is a pillow they are offering this week. I have it’s twin (in turquoise), which I bought as a pillow cover for less than half the price on Etsy:
In that example, Etsy wins. However, check out the prices offered during the Bonjour Coffee and Tea Essentials deal this week. The cost of this milk latte frother is only $10, and the teapot $15. Both would make fabulous gifts for the coffee/tea lover in your house.
Today, the daily deal is “Stylish Haunts”, seasonally inspired items (and why I originally started writing this post!) Here’s a few decorative pieces that tickle the modern side of my design aesthetic:
Of course, it’s all boils down to whether you are getting a good “deal” or not. The prices range from totally great to very high, though for the most part nothing is in the “ridiculous” category. For example, that orange chair is only $29.99! But then again, the silhouette pillow is $112. {I bet one of you could make it for much less.} I’m loving that orange throw, and $89 is not a terrible price for a quality blanket but I’m putting it on my Homegoods scouting list because they might have it for less. Another great deal is this console table, only $118 bucks:
Anyways, just thought I’d share a few things I’m loving right now for seasonal decor. These are pieces you can invest in and still love 10 years from now when you pull it out each season… or, scout for less at other stores. To view the offerings and other deals you’ll need to sign up for Joss & Main, but it’s totally free and it’s one site that doesn’t annoy me when I see the daily email in my inbox. If I have time, I’ll browse (and sometimes pin images to Pinterest), otherwise I’ll delete it and know they’ll have a recap the following day.
A few “spookier” pieces:
Like other deal sites, if you invite someone to join and they purchase something, you’ll get a $15 credit (I believe there’s a time limit to that, though). Please know that’s not why I posted about Joss & Main, if you’ve been a reader for awhile you know I’m always on the lookout for modern and unique seasonal and Halloween decor– see, I even posted about it here back in 2009 and of course there are the sequined pumpkins from a few weeks ago.

Love all the spooky-inspired ones you picked! Fall colors are my favorite decorating colors, and I look forward to pulling everything out every fall. Of course, now I’m trying to figure out how to get Halloween and Fall to work together because the palettes are slightly different in my home. I decided to get b/w ribbon to “marry” the 2 decorating schemes.
