Oh friends, what a week! I’d meant to post this guide chock full o’ gift ideas for the creatives in your life earlier but things got out of whack. The holidays are so tight that any blip tends to throw things off, and let’s just say, we had a few big blips. I’ll try to catch you up soon! In the meantime, enjoy these gifts for those who march to the beat of a (creative) drum. Most are for adults but creative kids may like a few of these gifts as well!
Crayon Rocks What a fun gift for kids or design conscious adults. They’d look pretty in a large glass bowl or container; I love design minded art supplies!
Creativity Quote Poster One of my favorite quotes of all time, I’m pretty sure I need this poster in my new office.
Hand Lettering 101 book Learning how to hand letter has been on my list to conquer for years. This beautiful book will get you started and mastering hand lettering in no time.
Liquid Chalk Markers Get creative with your chalkboard walls! These would be fun for kids or adding some ‘pop’ to your chalkboard art.
Marbling Set YES, I know I’m obsessed with marbling (hello, marbled pumpkins and framed marbled paper!) but this little kit takes it to another level.
Jewelry Making Tool Set Jewelry can be really easy to make if you have the right tools. This set has everything you need to get started and keep going, too. I use these tools to make diffuser necklaces for essential oils and it makes it a cinch.
Gel Pens Set One thing I’ve learned over the years is everyone has a different favorite type of pen. If gel pens are your jam, then you are going to be in heaven with this set of 60 colors!
Wet Tile Saw Dear Santa, if you’re reading this and think a tired mama deserves something just for herself, I WANT THIS. When I was on HGTV’s Rip & Renew, I used a wet tile saw and declared ‘ohhhhh, it’s just like a facial!’ I’d like to redeem myself. We declined the backsplash in our new house so that I could do the tiling myself. Bring on the wet tile saw facials.
Water Brush Pen set My friend Jocie from One Project Closer was using these on a recent trip and I’m not kidding, people were stopping in their tracks to rave about her hand lettering and watercolors! 2017 is the year I want to learn how to do this, and these watercolor brushes are a perfect tool for getting the right look. You fill these pens with water and dip into the watercolors. The result is a perfectly gorgeous look!
Watercolors Field Sketch Set Take your watercolors on the go with this 24 color filled palette (they work great with your new brush pens above.)
Watercolor Brush Pens If you’re not ready to take on the watercolor pens and water brushes, this is a great starter set. They also work wonderfully with adult coloring books.
Crafting with Nature What a gorgeous book! Each time I page through it I find new ideas and visual eye-candy. I received a copy right before we put the house on the market and I’m coveting it until we have a house and garden once again. This shows how to craft with nature from seed to finished project. We love the crafty recipes, too!
Brother Sewing Machine I think everyone should have a sewing machine. There, I said it. In a society that lives on disposable clothing and goods, being able to whip something up yourself is becoming a lost skill. Not sure where to start? These DIY stadium blankets are as warm and comfy as they are easy to make!
The Complete Book of Chalk Lettering Love the look of chalk lettering but don’t know where to start? This book shows you everyting you need to know to create your own beautiful chalk lettering at home.
Secret Garden Coloring Book This best selling adult coloring book provides a challenge for those who love to color.
Prismacolor Colored Pencils Not much rivals the thrill of a sharp pencil tip, let alone 48 of them in a stunning array of colors ready to make your coloring dreams come true.
Indigo Dye kit Shibori fabric is all the rage, but it’s pricey! Make it your own with this indigo dye kit.
Anti-Stress Coloring bundle This adult coloring book caught my eye, ’tis the season for stress so if coloring is your thing, this fits the bill for quiet stress relief that doesn’t involve guzzling a bottle of wine.
Adjustable Temperature Glue Gun My least favorite part of DIYing are the glue gun burns. Reduce the risk with this heavy duty adjustable temperature glue gun, a must for all crafters and DIYers!
