For years, I’ve wanted to join the fun and attempt to blog each day for 31 days along with The Nester but life always got in the way.  I can’t promise life won’t get in the way again this year, but this time I’m throwing my hat into the ring and jumping on the 31 Days train!  If there’s one thing I’m passionate about, it’s finding easy and beautiful decor ideas that fit your style.  I’m not a hardcore DIYer, I don’t own my own table saw, and I’ll never be able to build complicated furniture.  But I do love to create handmade accents and decorate my home in a way that realistically fits my family in this season of our lives.  And I want to help you do that, too, if you’re up for it!

It’s also going to force me to be more concise, more organized, and to quit attempting to find perfection.

Yeah.  Good luck with that, Carrie!

I’m excited to share quick ideas to decorate your home that are easy, inexpensive, and fit you perfectly.

15 Minute Decorating Ideas

From changing up an entire room to fun accent wall ideas to using what you already have to creating something totally new– all in just 15 minutes.  Displaying photos?  Check.  Window treatments? Check.  Small ideas that completely change a room?  You got it.  Ways to use fabric, dye, ribbon, frames, spraypaint, and more to create simple decor in under 15 minutes?  DONE.  My favorite gems are the $5 ‘splurges’ that’ll rock your home.  IN UNDER 15 MINUTES.

15 Minute Decorating Ideas

Who’s with me?  I can’t promise I’ll blog every day, but I’m going to try.  What I can promise is I have two typewritten pages of {quick and gorgeous} ideas to share, several blogging friends on board to share their own ideas, and perhaps something special up my sleeve just for you.  And because it’s ME, you know it’s easy, simple, and you’ll be able to tweak it to fit your style!  Because as I say, ain’t nobody got time for fussy and complicated.  {By the way, does anyone else see the word ‘tweak’ and think ‘twerk’?  I promise I won’t twerk.  But if that’s how you roll I won’t judge.  As long as you can do it while holding a glue gun or paintbrush.}

I want this series to be totally interactive so you can share your own 15 minute decorating ideas and projects as you complete them.  Here’s how to play along:

  • Be sure to follow along on Instagram where I’ll share lots of extra ideas, sneak peeks, and of course photos of shopping trips and inspiration as I find it.  Join in the fun by using the #15minutedecorating hashtag to search ideas and share your own.  I’ll pick one of your photos using that hashtag at random for a special prize at the end of the month.
  • I’ll also be pinning ideas from all around the internet to all my boards on Pinterest using the same #15minutedecorating tag.  Follow my boards so you see them; and if you already follow me, I’d love to hear your comments and see your pins with that tag as well!
  • Mark your calendar for a link party on October 31st where you can share all your 15 minute decorating ideas too.  Go ahead, mark your calendar, I’ll wait…

15 Minute Decorating Ideas

I couldn’t help sharing a few instagrams of inspiration I snapped at my favorite shop in the world this weekend.

This is going to be FUN, y’all.
