I’m taking a second to interrupt the Thanksgiving break to bring you my “Pharmacy Loot” from yesterday. Some of the deals expire tomorrow so I wanted to be sure you had them! Okay, now back to the regularly scheduled break. I’ll be back soon with my Gratitude post, Thanksgiving wrap-up, and MUCH more (like the winner of the ornament giveaway PLUS another giveaway!) Please excuse all typos as I am trying to get this posted ASAP. 🙂
Remember how I said I was not going to brave Black Friday and instead stay home all day in my jammies? I lied. Not on purpose, I promise you, but on Tuesday night I started going through the pharmacy ads for CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens and saw some great deals. So while I technically went shopping on Black Friday, I don’t think it’s quite the same as you courageous folks that hit the malls and the big box stores.
I had to share the pharmacy freebies and cheapies while they were still good– hopefully you can get some of the same deals! The problem (for me) with these posts is I tend to spend HOURS compiling them. I want to make sure I get every deal correctly posted down to the penny. Today I’m not going to do that. I’ll link to a blog that shows all the deals, and I’ll add details for things not found on those blogs. If you have ANY questions, just comment– I’ll be happy to clarify or let you know how I did it! As you can see, I wrote the total cost (out of pocket) but then subtracted how much I got back in rewards for the total cost after rewards are given.
Two quick notes: My cat was playing with the bags and took a few things out. By the time I realized I had forgotten them in the photos, I didn’t have enough energy to retake them. I made a note under the photo if I forgot something. Second thing: if you are confused with the lingo, I have translations for the abbreviations at the bottom of this post to help you out.
- The Kelloggs products were a special deal not listed on most blogs. I had earned a $5 Rite Aid coupon back in the summer to be used towards Kelloggs products. I stacked that with the sale price (2/$5) and manufacturer’s coupons ($3 off). Therefore all four boxes cost $2 total!
- There are tons of $5/$25 coupons floating around out there. That certainly made this deal sweeter!
- Colgate toothpaste and Colgate toothbrushes were FREE after getting ECBs back and using coupons
- Toblerone is an unadvertised (FREE!) deal! They were 2/$3, minus a manufacturer’s coupon and also a coupon from the November Wags coupon book.
- 3M Command Hooks were BOGO, and they will really come in handy during the holidays to hang decorations. The sale made them $1.79 each, and that was without the $1 coupon from the 11/15 Red Plum circular.
- Crayola Crayons were on sale for $1.99 (marked down from $5.99) plus I got a $1 RR. I plan to donate them to Toys for Tots!
- Aquafresh and Dove were free after RR
ECBs: CVS’s “Extra Care Bucks” rewards program. You earn them and then use them toward future purchases. They print out at the register.
RR: Walgreen’s “Register Rewards” program. You earn them and then use them toward future purchases. They print out at the register.
SCR: RiteAid’s “Single Check Rebate” program. You enter your receipts online, and then they will send you a check for the SCR amount. Cash money, holla!
BOGO: Buy One, Get One Free
OOP: Out of Pocket (what you actually spent before earning rewards)
Wags: Walgreens
